Every blogger & their mother is doing a Back to School “themed” post and so I decided to hop on that bandwagon! So today I went back to school supplies shopping which is an extremely bittersweet thing. I don’t want to go back to the work of essays, homework, classes, annoying teachers, etc. but I do love supplies shopping and seeing my friends.

I’m surprised and proud of myself for the amount of money I spent, I think it was around $35 which is awesome. I was extremely savvy if I do say so myself.

First I have to show my “bundle binder” (something I am oh so proud of). Target had a 1 1/2″ binder for 3.75 (a ridiculous price in my opinion). But it had a ruler, a set of dividers, and $5 in coupons that came in it. While I didn’t use all of the coupons, (it came with 8) I saved $4 off with them making myself VERY happy. Oh and it’s pink, HUGE plus.

Along with the Bundle Binder (pink) I got two of the “deluxe” binders (green & blue) and two of the “basic binders” (white).

My Binders

Next I bought my “writing utensils”,  I have my protractor & compass which I put in this category (I had no clue where they would go). Target has these super cool highlighters which are shaped like markers and I used my binder bundle coupons with! Also I bought colored pencils and regular pencils. To be honest I cannot stand mechanical pencils, whenever I use them the actual pencil part brakes. My next item I am super excited about, Bic Crystal Bold Color pens! At my school you are required to have black, red & blue pens so I never bought fun colors. With this pack they have the required AND colors, and they were on sale. Then I have a little pencil sharpener, fairly standard.

Last in my supplies, I have my paper goods, pretty self explanatory. Two composition books (one green the other black), two packs of filler paper (college ruled), a pack of pink post it notes & a pack of index cards, nothing really that special!

From 6th grade to 7th I had a Jansport zebra print book bag from Target which ripped at the end of last year. This year I got another backpack from Target but instead I got an Embark “Jartop” in Raspberry. Also I got it monogrammed at my local store with a navy circle font! I am in LOVE and wouldn’t change a thing. Most girls use tote bags but those hurt my back. Also a lot of people use PBTeen bookbags or NorthFace one’s but I get sick of patterns/colors easily and I’d rather not spend so much! Once school is in full swing I am planning to do a “What’s In My Backpack” post!

Have y’all done your back to school shopping yet?
